I firstly would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of this land and their ongoing relationship between them, this great land and the sea.
Bijarr …means “dream”.
This word is from my Aboriginal language group Guugu Yimidhirr. This language group is from the Cooktown area in North Queensland and is the community from which my great grandmother belonged. My personally designed jewellery are often derived and inspired from dreaming stories from this area.
This “dream” of mine may not have come true if it wasn’t for the support of my wonderful husband, Brian and my children Erin and Riley!
